Moment49 (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is operated by Mint49, a sole trader business. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. We collect and process limited personal data from both Event Organisers and Attendees:

For Event Organisers

  • Name and contact details (email, phone number, business name if applicable).

  • Event details (event name, date, access code).

  • Payment information (processed securely via third-party providers – we do not store full payment card details).

For Attendees

  • Media content uploaded during the event (photos, videos, messages).

  • Metadata (such as upload time and basic device information).

  • We do not collect or store personal contact details of attendees unless explicitly provided.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data collected to:

  • Provide and operate the Moment49 platform.

  • Enable organisers to collect event content from attendees.

  • Communicate with organisers about their account, events, and support queries.

  • Deliver purchased services, including download links for event albums.

  • Improve our service and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Send marketing emails to organisers (with an option to unsubscribe at any time).

We do not use attendee content or details for marketing or profiling purposes.

3. Ownership of Content

  • All content uploaded by attendees belongs to the Event Organiser who created the event.

  • By uploading content, attendees grant the Event Organiser full rights to download, use, and share the content as they choose.

  • Attendees are responsible for ensuring they have permission from all individuals featured in their uploads.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Content is available for 90 days from the event start date. After 90 days, all uploaded data is permanently deleted from our systems.

  • Organisers must download content before this deadline to avoid loss of data.

  • Account and contact details of organisers may be stored for legal, operational, and marketing purposes unless deletion is requested.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted data transfer and storage.

  • Secure server environments.

  • Restricted access controls and regular security assessments.

However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection from unauthorised access, hacking, or data breaches.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers and third-party processors, such as payment processors and hosting platforms, to deliver the service.

  • Legal authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and other applicable data laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.

  • Request correction or deletion of your data.

  • Withdraw marketing consent at any time.

  • Request data portability (for organisers).

Moment49 is not intended for children under the age of 13. Any content uploaded involving minors must be done with full parental or guardian consent. The Event Organiser is solely responsible for ensuring such consent has been obtained.

Our services may process and store data on servers located in the UK or other jurisdictions. By using Moment49, you consent to such data transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in the law or our services. Any updates will be posted on our website with the new effective date. Continued use of the app signifies acceptance of the updated policy.
